This is an Opel Kapitan 2.5L from 1959

Could be close, although the Rekord of that sort of vintage is also very similar

1957 from classiccarcatalogue has this picture of a Renault Fregate Grand Pavois

Looks pretty close the fregate has that characteristic chrome piece just in front of the rear wheel.

I'll give you all I have got on this one. Its not a car, not even road-going. Its a luggage trolley.

But, on the trawl I have done so far a very unusual luggage trolley. Weardale Railway/Stanhope station and restored.

The unusual thing...its neither manual nor electric. Its a three-wheeler and appears to be "petrol" maybe 2-stroke.

Here's the external appearance in three-photos. Closest I have come so far is the phrase "Bonser Truck" 1950's. Any ideas for nailing it down?

My own platform motorised trolley Whatsthisthen? from Stanhope Railway Station still defeats me, the FCF and the internet, may have to ask a real human next time I am at Stanhope :-D

That immediately struck a chord for me. I think that small trucks with the same front end, but different bodywork were used by the local council in the 1960s, either used by the streets maintenance department or the park gardeners (or maybe both). I will wrack my brain a little more.

This little video of this Wrigley truck does fit. It has a Villiers Engine, and the general architecture is similar except that "my truck" has has handlebars and the worlds most uncomfortable looking round seat in the truck payload bed.
My truck has the Villiers V logo on the engine cover.

Quite a few of them out there when you start looking. It could be a model TF Bonser - but I'm not an afficionado so could easily be wrong :)

Definitely got our moneysworth out of that little motorised trolley! Excellent work. I also see the Bonser also had a Villiers engine..Wolverhampton's finest! I did expect a "Railway platform trolleys" website/forum/facebook group which would have comprehensive details of such motorised trolleys as used by British Railways...but couldn't find one!

I did look up on the DVLA the number plate on one of Bobins photos which I also came across..put me on to Wrigley, the video and the company based in Poole.

Excellent bit of delving..thanks for the contributions.
