Bugger

That clashes with the Milton Keynes Marathon Weekend and I'm running twice in that one...

I think I'll be up for visiting that. I just need a tedious car to go in. I know my Megane is tedious but it's not old enough.

I've been in the car park...Two or three years back Briskoda held their summer meeting there and I took the Estelle along.
Think it was actually turning into our neighbourhood coming back from that it last decided to overheat, hence getting stuffed under the tree for the next six months...
Never got as far as getting into the museum as I ran out of time, will try to fix that at this event. Shame it wasn't a week later as I'd have (hopefully!) been able to bring the Lada along too. Alas it's not in for the test until the following Tuesday.

Re: Practical Classics Round Britain Run
I note that two of the cars are Citroen's, a blue Ami (can't see reg, looks mid 60's) and a DS on a 'J' plate nice.
One of their pics (Facebook) shows a 'visiting' red Xant'. Any of our lot?
I'll be at the Charingworth Manor Hotel, Chipping Campden, tomorrow eve.

The DS is James Washe's, I should think the Ami is his too. He's a Citroen person and is very involved with the Citroen Car Club.
I recognise the Xantia XAN 71A, can't remember who owns it now, used to be CitroJim's.

A very pleasant evening was had at the Charingworth Hotel... might've been better if our team "Peugeot Stag" hadn't come last in the quiz, but you can't win 'em all !

Nope, that will be Dollywobbler's one. He was apparently out with them today.
His fault I've got one mind you, had never heard of them until he started restoring his!

Re: Practical Classics Round Britain Run
I had a run up to the Lakeland Motor Museum yesterday, there were about 30 car's in attendance, only the 2 previously mentioned Citroen's. I stuck the C5 in the main car park

Re: Practical Classics Round Britain Run
I must get back to Lakes one of these days, its been a good few years. I visited the now defunct 'Cars of the Stars' a few years back, but have never been to the Lakeland Museum.
I'd initially put the Pug in the main car park, more of a Bangernomic than Classic to me really, but some say differently (which is nice); but Danny had me bring it over: can't say I put up much resistance to the suggestion!
The Ami was receiving a Valve adjustment, looked like an incredibly simple procedure on these, I spoke briefly to its new owner who is on an 'Extended Test Drive' with it prior to shipping it home to the USA. Apparently, its been coping really well with the miles and I must have a look to see how close its power to weight ratio is to mine.
