For the statistically minded the 61,000 mark was commemorated on November 15th so thats 15 +31+4 ie 50 days so the participation rate for the OTCL has been 20 posts per day.
The bigger they got, the better the Hydrolastic worked.
Always felt very odd on the Mini - I preferred Moulton's rubber - but on 1100/1300 plus, really rather good.
There was no way you could fail a driving test hill start with Hydrolastic: wind it up, and let off the handbrake.
Random pic from me.... (unusual in that I'm not much of a one for 'the obvious' but this is pretty!)
its got a reg no', so it must be road legal, how does it get away without a Speedo?
(Gauges are L-R "Benzine, Olio [Temp?], Giri, Olio [Pressure?], Acqua")
Ferrari 'what' I'm not sure, but its 'B' plated (1963?) and its a 12-pot
Right place for the rev counter !
I've seen nicer at Essen, but you expect it there; this was quite a treat out in the stix!
Respect to the owner of the Dino ('72 I think he said), who'd driven it there on a wet day!
The lower end of the Classic market was represented too, and a certain owner of a certain 405 was surprised to be ushered into the Classics Car Park.... found myself wishing I'd not gone thru so many puddles on the way so it at least looked its best!
Other beauties worth a mention.
1975 Toyota Celica TA22 1600GT in Bronze, Wow!
1975 Alfa Montreal in White. (styling looked Pininfarina but actually Bertone)
1985 Renault GTA V6 Turbo
1972 1 owner Escort Mk1 'Dormobile' Camper Conversion
should've adjusted the colours on the photos, obviously 'tis the same colour, just different metering

It is art, but not as we know it Jim! and I do like the palm tree!
It may not have been art Neil but Ceefax was an excellent service... I used to use it to catch up with the day's events in the early mornings... BBC2 used to show rotating Ceefax pages before the main programming started... A kind of an alternative, but very useful, to the test card...

Have to say this is a treasure trove of Ceefax stuff, but for my machinery the website www.pagesfromceefax.net doesn't work although this article here would suggest that it recreates ceefax pages from current news!
This twitter page does work and its where the duvet and the christmas card came from!
The Austin 3 Litre was my favourite car, I had it for a couple of years but like all cars of the period the rust got it in the end, I ran big Austins and Wolseleys for a long time back then, they were ideal for cash and carrying stock for the shop and doing the occasional taxi job.

I often have a browse of the galleries on Geograph which collects pictures from every 1km square in the UK.
This one caught my eye this morning. "A path through the dunes".
With no further info on its whereabouts I knew instantly it was Northumberland. No settlements or man made structures to give away the location just a massive amount of beach and that sky...typically North Northumberland.
