Sorry to hear you're having to sell up Steve but under the circumstances I think for the best... The C6 is likely to become a money-pit I fear :(

Its a lovely car Steve, but if it is costing mega bucks to run and repair then I think you are doing the right thing. On to the next one you go then.

This is why the common classics of the past are all the "simpler" models - sporty Fords, Minis, MGB GTs, the list goes on.

Providing I don't wrap it around a tree, I expect my Focus ST won't lose any value at all. One can buy, essentially the same, slower, softer car of the same year for less than 1/4 the price of what I paid for the ST. It's a simple family hatchback with a 5-cyl motor and a big turbo stuck on it. A classic, in the eyes of many.

That's an excellent colour too :) I do like my bright colours.. Can't stand the current craze for dull and dreary...

The ST in that dreary grey looks bloody awful. Makes it and look miserable and makes the observer feel the same too...

Cars, in my world, need to be painted in the most vivid colours possible - which is why I love bright yellow...

And your coming bright red/orange skoda! I like strong colours too. I dont really like all the shades of grey nowadays, black is ok, white is ok but hate everything inbetween!

I can never make up my mind if it is red or orange when I see pics. The best two colours of cars I ever had, excuse the cars we are talking the colour, was broom yellow on a Fiat Punto from 2002, and paradise green on an Audi A4 from 1997. What I would love to do, if I could zfford it would be respray the xantia in one of these colours, probably paradise green, as that would be unique lol

I may pop up and show it you on Tuesday pm if you're about Jim. It's being remapped in St. Albans at 11:30am, it takes an hour or so and I'll be nearer yours than mine!

The audi paradise green is not really much different from that green. A xantia that colour would be different lol

I love it when the colour is carried over to the interior. One of the best things about the Fiat coupe in either the bright yellow or electric blue with black leather is that there's that big slab across the dash in body colour. Skoda kind of gets that effect going too as it's mostly black - but has the exposed metal on the door tops. Actually looks good I think.
