And keep safe, especially after not too much sleep.
Watched part 3 of N500 (Ullapool to Durness) on Alba last night . . . some good music went with the scenery.

Im in Ullapool, having driven from Macduff to Spean Bridge, to Applecross then Ullapool. That has covered all the bits I hab never done before. I honestly bont know how many more WOW views I can see. Theres some bits where you go around a corner, say WOW and think it would be impossible to see a better view than that, then go around the next corner abd there is a better one! Unbelievable! I have taken mileages and travel times between the proposed stops but they are on a notebook in the car and im lying on a bed in, of all places a youth hostel! First time ever ib a youth hostel and i turn 54 in 3 weeks lol.

They are takimg ages to load, no 4g or even 3g in Ullapool, and the wirless in here is really slow! I suppose im spoiled at home, our 4g just been upgraded and my house internet is instant. One click and its done!

Bigpug is effortless around these roads. The last bit I did today from Gairloch to Ullapool, the pic with the car on the verge on a straight bit of road is typical of the road for about 20 miles or so. I thought I was on a runway so it got runway speeds for a bit. Its utterly stable and quiet at hhm miles per hour lol

What a day for you. Some jaw-dropping views and roads. You've done well to cover all that.
Watch out for being overtaken in Glen Torridon: low level flight training for jets! Keep watching the rearview mirror...

I see we're 2+5 now. Could that yet become 7+0 ? \:D/

Keep the pix coming..

Its such a pity you cant travel much Jim. If theres one place you would absolutely love cycling it would be between Fort William and Applecross. It would have absolutely everything you could want. Challenging hills, up and down, fresh air, beautiful scenery, and everyone i have spoken to in shops and while stopped taking pics are really lovely. It would be so worth the journey. Honestly if you wanted I would fly down to Luton, pick up you, Gabriel and your bike and drive you up here, then home again.

Believe me Davie, I really wish I could and I'd love to be there and experience it both in the car and on bike but alas...

The fact I cannot is why I'm so appreciative of all the great pictures you've posted...

Im now at Durness. Its some journey from Ullapool to here. 4 hours to do 113 miles. An absolutely wonderful 113 miles. The roads, mostly single track with blind summits, blind crests, wonderful views but not really much chance of stopping to admire them or take photos. Quite a few cars parked in passing places while owners are away wandering about with cameras which is very annoying wwhen you meet oncoming traffic and cant get past as they are giant motorhomes! Also the foreign drivers in theit rented hyuandi I20s tend to go into the passing places on the wrong side which makes for some "fun" and bad language from me but fotrgiven instantly because if must be confusung for them driving on the wrong side. I was going to really keep going today and go right home, but I'm knackered so I'm going to sit here in the sun for a bit then head east to Thurso then that will do for today. I know its 4 hours from there home as I have done it plenty working from Scrabster when I was at the fishing. Heres todays pics so far if they will load on the just getting mobile internet here. The last ones are of durness beach which would rival the algarve for a holiday destination if it was a few degrees hotter and the rocks were a lighter colour. Mind you its 21 degrees right now, cloud cover, no sun but its a muggy heat.ImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImageImage
