Re: Picture(s) of the day...
Not even for baked products James... I can tell you that even after 40 years of driving he is still rubbish at the art; always has been, always will be...
Honestly, my driving and parking abilities are atrocious and even worse now I barely drive at all... It never came easily to me and I'm not a 'natural'...
I'm not bothered though... I've survived 40 years of driving with few accidents (none my fault) and a relatively clean record... One SP30 in 40 years is not bad - and that was on a motorbike!!!
These days I don't enjoy driving bar a joyride in the Activa every now and again; I do still love getting the spanners out though

Feel free to put some "baked Goods" up on "Picture(s) of the Day" sort of like this by Dave (Demag)

or car parking Italian style

or a nice wheresthisthen? (pretty hard to be devious when the image comes from geograph but does anyone get it without looking it up?) Gibbo may be the favourite to come up with the goods!

If you are unlikely to make a pilgramage at dawn to the singing ringing tree for a bit of soothing primordial noise, you tube, as ever, gives an impression....
Not many jukeboxes have a proper avantgarde noise music section....except of course...as you may expect..The Pickled Egg! Its got to cater for the Karlheinz Stockhausen fans after all so why not the "Snging Ringing Tree"

How about this nice veggie curry to start with?
Quiche and Scones
And finally, a veggie chilli and a fruitcake

There's lots more

That's the tangle that is the Tame Railway bridge and the Aston Expressway...........Spaghetti Junction.
The River Tame when I was young was the drain for all the industrial effluent in the area, the water was so thick you could almost walk on it
Cleaned up now and has fish I believe.

One more clue: You would have turned right at the roundabout for big red RT and RM.

I have travelled along that section under Spaghetti Junction several times in my Mums' narrow boat.

If your "big red RT and RM" are the quintessential London Transport buses, the nearest depot (former) I could find was at Hanwell, "right at the roundabout?" only if your cabbie was literally taking you for a ridewhite exec wrote:One more clue: You would have turned right at the roundabout for big red RT and RM.

Re: Picture(s) of the day...
Almost - and not a long way (about a mile) from Hanwell.
At the roundabout was one of the entrances into where most of those buses were built - AEC Southall.
Clue: How many bridges?

Re: Picture(s) of the day...
Three Bridges, Southall it is! The pint of Abbot is yours!
The road across the top runs from the GWR 'Iron Bridge' on the Uxbridge Road, down to Gillette Corner on the Great West Road. The Grand Union Canal passes below it, and a now effectively disused branch rail line (linking Southall and Brentford) below that.

AEC had their massive bus building and testing factory a stone's throw from Three Bridges, where they road-, tilt- and skid-pan tested finished vehicles. Most of the RTs and RMs had AEC mechanicals. The father of a schoolfriend of mine worked there, and lucky Paul, aged 14, during one school holiday, got to drive a brand new Routemaster for a short while.
My father was born in Hanwell, and our family lived in Ealing, where I went to school.
