Yes. Only the on/off switch worked, the buttons were an occasional occurrence. Still, the scrappy was OK with swapping it for another one.

Re: My turn for a C5!
OK, I need a little bit of help with my C5 again. When the engine is running the rear suspension is obviously riding too high. I have skimmed through the Haynes BoL, but I cannot find the formula for determining the correct height. If anybody does know what the formula is, could you please post it here? Thanks.

PDF, if you would not mind. I just hope that we do not need specialised tools to do the job! I have a tape measure and spanners.

Re: My turn for a C5!
My C5 decided to play silly buggers yesterday, but I managed to convince her this was not a good idea. What she decided to do was to 'pretend' to unlock the O/S/R door, but neither handle would open the door. A friend suggested a sticky solenoid, but the problem here is that I would have to get the door open to resolve that, but the door would not open. This evening I managed to get three brain cells to work together, and they suggested I push the door firmly from the outside (in the region of the door handle), and then try again. Success! What I think may have happened is that, last time I locked her (and the door was working) I may not have fully closed the door (maybe the mechanism has worn slightly enough to cause this problem), and when the lock engaged it disconnected the handles (as it should), but a slight tolerance issue now meant that when the lock was unlocked it did not re-engage the handles. Pushing the door while it was locked appears to have overcome the tolerance. I have also added a load of 3 in 1 oil to the moving parts I can access. If anybody else has the same problem this might help you.

Re: My turn for a C5!
Well, thanks to Marc my C5 now is riding at the correct heights, which has made her more comfortable (she was about an inch too high, which made her jittery). However, I would now like to know how to calibrate the steering angle sensor (the Lexia says it is faulty, and way off), to see if this fixes a possible issue. I have done a Google search, but I am not finding anything useful.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Re: My turn for a C5!
IIRC when I did my Mk1 C5 it's a matter of making sure that the steering wheel is in the correct position for driving in a straight line straight ahead and then setting that point using the Lexia. It'll prompt for you to confirm I think.
If you've got any suspension work to do then this should be completed before this calibration although if you have a Lexia it's no great problem. I'm not sure which Mk yours is but the principle will be the same I'm fairly sure.

Re: My turn for a C5!
Ditto above what Paul says James, plus if it's out of kilter it may throw up ESP/ASP OR ABS messages until the Angle is set. I had this when I replaced my Steering wheel on my MK 2 facelift before I had my Lexia!!
Glad you got the suspension heights sorted out James, you'll have to write up the easy version now!

Re: My turn for a C5!
I need to get some paint for my C5. The code is EYLC, which appears to be "Iceland Gris". Can somebody look up her details (the 8 digit VIN is in my signature) and check please. Halfords appear to be at their usual standard.
