Hi, been having some real crappy weather here in North Yorkshire as of late and i guess i have driven through too many puddles as today i noticed a wiring harness hanging from the bottom of my car. Its the one that goes to the Lambda sensor after the cat. A few days ago my check engine light also came on, so the two are probably related. I took the car to have it checked over at my local garage who said the wires are nackered between the lambda sensor and its wiring connector (some 20cm's away) and i would need a new lambda sensor. They quoted me £97 for the part....... lol yeah right. Soi i called Andrew Page parts and they said £57+vat. My questions are:
1) can i just fix the wires by soldering them and then plug my laptop in and turn the engine light off?
2) is the lambda sensor actually hard to replace?
Thanks in advance.

Re: 54 plate Megane Lambda sensor
hi you could just solder the wires together but if you have to change it in future its a lot of messing around
the sensor should just un screw if you have a 22mm spanner
