'Trade' Stands

Unread post by Old-Guy »

I'm under pressure to reduce my hoard of salvaged Xantia parts and I have 'official' blessing to bring along a boot-load; what's the charge for a pitch?

No charge for a pitch; just pay entry like everyone else. £5 weekend pass for the weekend (£7 for non-Citroen Car Club members) plus a weekend camping charge of £5/7 should you choose to stay over.

See you there! Phil

If you're anything like me you will have quite a few Haynes manuals and duplicates thereof... I think the 'Tech Corner' could include the 'Haynes Exchange'... bring what you have and see if there's anything there you'd rather have, and swap. Or just dump your 'spares there and they can all go to a good cause! What do you think guys?

CHEVRONS RALLY - Haynes Manuals

Unread post by Old-Guy »

Good idea. Shame I gave a pile (non-Citroen) away to a charity shop a few months ago! Tin for donations to a good cause?

There'll be a tin there: I'll sort it - probably Cancer Research UK - they get all the donations I receive when doing stuff.

Sounds excellent to me and very happy with the suggested charity Phil :)

Shame I'm already cleared out of all surplus stuff now - had to to make way for my V6 Conversion project...

Two weeks to go and there are some tweaks and changes.
Bletchley Park is no longer the excursion destination, instead we are talking Stowe House and Gardens - I'm speaking to them on Tuesday regarding a group booking discount for entry to the wonderful gardens. A great place for a picnic. If the weather's bad (i.e. raining - I don't envisage snow or tornados) we will cancel the trip and instead hold a surprise event in the Village Hall. Not sure what that will be yet, but it could be a Scalextric Tournament (unofficial betting only please lol!).
There will be no Cool Wall as initially advertised. But the Quiz has been made more extensive and there's also Film entertainment to consider wink emoticon
Wine Tasting: well, at those prices they can.....................
Face Painting: Nothing yet but I'm working on it.
Tech Corner: the appeal grows with the addition of the 'Haynes Exchange' (excuse the moniker, it does actually include ANY automotive manuals/literature).
IF the wind isn't too strong I'm considering a Kid's Glider competition, to go alongside the colouring competition... who said competition was bad for kids?!
There will be a Petanque area for those lovers of metallic French balls.
https://www.google.co.uk/search" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;…
And anything else we can think of. Oh, and non-CCC Members can join at the event at a discount. AND the local Citroen Dealership will be there chomping at the bit to sell you a new Citroen: so members - don't forget the 10% discount on new Citroens applies AFTER all other promotions and deals wink emoticon
Can't wait!

I will not be present on Friday. I have karate training to attend... Ditto Sunday morning...

I'll be there for a reasonable part of Saturday and Sunday late morning and afternoon...

Looking forward to it and seeing everybody...

Looking forward to meeting in person as many forum members as possible on Saturday.

My bones are too old for real camping, and buying a Motorhome has had to be postponed for a year, so I'll only be coming for the day on Saturday.
