Yes I have,
every thing is working : all door handle lights ( orange dots ), automatic light in front doors pockets ( white light ), central top console ( two orange led lights directed to central console - gear box handle, etc ) also all floor lights are ok, but not orange led bars under dashboard... And as you saw in document i attached , these two leds elements ( described as dashboard led driver / passanger ) are connected to BSI..
I'll check it somehow.
Thank You

Good luck to you ... in case you'll have to pull the ambient light bars out, the central console needs to come off as well (gruesome job) ... :)

I haven´t seen any 2010 or later C5 X7 with those lights under dash. There's no switch for them on any Exclusive in mobile.de for instance.

So I would guess those lights are forgotten in the new bsi-software - hence they don't work after update. przemekwieckowsk's car is 2008-09 gasoline V6, am I right?

Yes, It's 08-09 C5 3.0 V6 .
As I wrote in previous message BSI was upgraded with newest firmware and after some car configuration with lexia this ambient light was working without problems - including ON/OFF dashboard pushbutton - until , lets say now. Now i just see fault F047 ( Can't connect to module... ) so then i asked on forum because informations form few sources are inconsistent regarding ambient light controller /BSI, comfort module or other.. / It's hard to say what happened.

The "worst" solution would be to rewire the ambient lighting directly to some other 12V source ... that's what I have done in my car ... no need for ambient light turning off in my opinion ... that's only if you've exhausted all other soft options (reconfiguring) and you still want it to glow like it used to ...

I don't agree regarding ON/OFF... i have experience with long night trip.. Ambi light i so cute and intensive. i coudn't focus on road in this case - then i switched off all lights - just speedometer was left visible. This configuration help me rest without stopping in the middle of trip - of course loud music was applied :)

I agree that hard-wire is not so good idea, but in my case : for example broken BSI output - i'll do same you done, but my idea base on making this light be PWM dimmed smoothly by time of push button activation - like in some bicycle lights. This solutions should help to adjust requested brightness of internal light dash strips.. but first i have to check if there is possibility to return to original status.

We're all different ... I like the orange light with full intensity, it keeps me awake ... :D ... and the ambient is hardly visible, unless you concentrate hard ... the best result I gained by installing it in my car is that I can see what's inside the small compartment on the left of the wheel (below which the fuses and the BSI are located) ... I was trying to figure out to hard-wire the ambi-button to the ambi light, but without success so far ... it would require a controller or something, which I didn't have time to experiment with ... maybe, in the future, I'll get to it ...

I leave it on permanently on mine, it's so ambient it never gets close to being annoying.

Damn you, I had almost decided to let it go, and now it's back again :D

Just waiting for an excuse to go to the shop and order floor lights, ambient LEDs, and doing the door handles/pockets lighting too... 8-)
Only thing is, CCs in Greece and all foreign transactions blockade have left us crippled, so I can only do so much (order parts bit by bit) before hitting the control limit.

Well, if you have extra money to do this, seems Greece doesn't have it as bad as the media are portraying it ... :D

Well, this "extra money" (we're talking about 40-50 euros, right ?) is not going to save me or my country, it's not like we're starving (but a lot of Greeks are starving, mind you)....but the fact remains that we can't withdraw more than 60€ (actually most of the time its 50€) from the ATMs, and we can't do any online transactions with sellers abroad.

That's why I will probably do the LED lighting a bit DIY-style, except for the mood LED strips, I will probably hang on to this mod for later...

Hi....a little hard to follow with so many mods...

So, IF you have the sensor lighting in the pockets and above the head, are the long mood strips just plug in ?

I'm unsure of that, when we did the installation on my car, the technician didn't have any connectors or something to hook them up, so he made some on the go ... I'm guessing the Exclusive (like Xantippa said, earlier models only) cars have different wiring looms behind the dash, which have two additional sockets that go to the ambient light strips (under-dash lights). Mine are wired directly to the headlamp sidelights pin(s) (when the sidelights are on, the ambi-light is on) ... happy with the solution as it is ...

would you have the schematics to show which car would have that from the Vin/RPO ?...if its plug and play & add a switch/activate then strips look quite good value for a very pleasant visual update.
