The other LED headlight arrived, so now I'm contemplating whether to attempt the bumper removal myself or not (if Sticky managed it, why couldn't I ... :D ) ...

Apart from that, for my next trick (modification), I'm planning to install (somewhere suitable) a 10" Android tablet (hidden), which will send the image to the main screen, have an accessible USB port (for external media), be used as a Accelerometer (Torque App), and have the main screen "converted" to a touch screen, to be able to navigate the menus of the Android device. Mostly everything is ready and tested (and it works), I just need to plan the wiring in a smart way.

I'll try to remove just the side that I need, hopefully getting enough room to just unscrew the current headlight and replace it with another one ... if it won't be manageable, then I'll have to get the entire bumper off ...

You OK on what you need ?

Just measured the tool.....
15cm long rod with a (I used threaded 7mm) pair of nuts at one end and a 2cm headless nail at the other end welded on.
This should be on one side only so an L shape not a T and about 3mm diameter flattened a bit with the grinder to fit into the heads of the white bumper turn buckles.
Use a socket/small ratchet to turn the rod once engaged, don't forget the two thru bolts on the side clips.
Release the side clips from the arch end first with a long thin screw driver and work along releasing the other two............easy , even for you and your soft girl like electrician hands :)

I have the tool image from the Service Documentation (along with the manufacturer defined measurements), so I should be fine ...

Yep, made it ... I feel like such a bad-ass right now ... :D ...

Simpler that I thought, the 2 white rotating clips were auto solved (one was missing, the other one was already in open position), when putting everything back in place decided to leave that clip as it was, did a test drive, no rattle, the bumper is in position, so I won't close it (I do have another project in my mind, so maybe the bumper will have to go down once again). Managed to survive with just the half bumper off (it was a tight squeeze but luckily my hands aren't that big, so I can squeeze them in places other people would freak out). The headlight works, and the front look is now finally balanced (and to my liking - genuine stock look at least).

No thank you ... if someone else was to fill the tank when empty, maybe ... :D ... I'm thinking of either a chip tuning solution or a remap, bring it slightly over 200 BHP and that's that ... more than enough horses to keep you amused during each drive

Hello,
I've reviewed ambient light topic carefully. Now I see You have big experience in this issue, so I hope You can help me.

In my C5 X7 ambi light was working from the beginning but few days ago it stops.
When I'm connected with lexia i got fault message more or less : BSI can't connect with mood light module , code F47. When I've made coding in BSI to turn off Light Pack and Moody Light option - fault disappears - and it is correct reaction ( BSI don't tries connect to light module ). But when i turn on back these options i got back the error F47 and of course moody light is not working.

There No reaction to moody light ON/OFF button.

I wonder where is that module responsible for moody light control - it is because when i looking into schems there is just BSI with direct connected moody lights ( or i'm looking into wrong page - because information on schems is so laconic :) .

BSI was upgraded to last version of firmware < ASO Citroen have done it > , and they told be that some options was turned off permanently < not possible to activate anymore > in new firmware by CITROEN - they suspect that after this operation some visible option will be permanently off - eg. moody light.

So directly after this upgrade moody light was not working , but they could turn it on again form Lexia . No i do the same but without positive result - just an error F047.

If anybody have any information how moody light is connected ( oryginaly ) it would be grateful. I'm interested if it is connected direct to bsi or through dedicated module which is connected to bsi via LIN or CAN bus. If there is special module - where it is located ?

Thanks for any answer and help, AND SORRY FOR MY ENGLISH

It is not directly connected to the BSI, but to the door module, which also controls the reverse mirror indexing (if applicable). The said module is located closely to the driver door mirror, under the entire interior door panel (needs to come off sadly). If you decide to do this, you will have access to all the wires, and probably somewhere (maybe on the door grommet) one wire is broken, split or whatever (unless some other activities were done on the car which I'm unaware of of course).

I've never seen the said module myself and in person, but it is visible here (No. 20):

Thank You for that tip,

btw. It is surprise for me because I have change this module before ( it is installed in passenger door ) - i had problem with mirror control. I'll try to review module description to find which wire/wires are responsible for moody light to check if wire continuity is ok or not, and schems once again...

Hello once again,

I attached google drive shared file - its pdf file - schematics of internal lighting:

https://drive.google.com/file/d/0BwaZSI ... sp=sharing

Unfortunately I see that dashboard and central ambient light is connected directly to BSI. Comfort module control just door handles are connected through module mentioned in previous post. Or I'm wrong or i have bad schematics.
Please take a look into if you'll have free time.
In attached document you will se yellow stickers with direct translation of polish description / when you'll open document with adobe reader / .
Please let me know your opinion.

When I was retrofitting my ambient lighting, me and my mechanic exhausted all the schematics, DIagboxed everything that was available, and we still couldn't get the wheel column switch to operate the lights ... our conclusion was that the ambient light isn't directly connected to the BSI (measured and everything), the pin in question was dead, no matter the option configured, which lead us to believe (and I've found out reading on some other locations on the net) that the door module is actually responsible for the ambient lighting (and the door well automatic lighting, when you go near it with your hand - if you have that option installed)
