Both C5 tourer 3,0hdi's on finnish used car site nettiauto have tow bar.

And biturbo isn't quite correct term in this case. At least 2,2hdi 205 has got only one turbo. Older 170bp did have two turbos, but only single exhaust. ;)

Hi all, getting back onto the initial subject, how likely am I to have the wiring and connector behind my dash so I can plug in the genuine lighting strips & switch?

@ Sloppy - Which lighting strips & switch are you talking about?

Some painting will be involved, but not pink though ... although my dealer suggested that color to me, don't know what the deal with that color is ... :D

Well, if the end result would be something like this, why not ... :D

But, that's too much bling IMO, and definitely the C5's shape isn't made for showing off like that ... I'll keep it neat and tidy, the end result should be in a week

The two either side of the dash, using you picture from earlier posting, item 3 and the switch to power them.

No installation for the leds unless the car is Exclusive ... the button will have the connector going to the BSI, it will light up (if you connect the new button to the cable) when the interior lighting is on (night driving), but that's all it will do ... do keep in mind the entire dash + center console need to be disassembled for this to be performed properly

And an update ... you can also play a "spot-the-difference" game, comparing the current situation with previously available photos ... :D

Hi looking at the picture with the bumper removed, How did you take the sides apart, the instructions I have say "Detach the front Bumper(11) (as 'b') (Following the arrow); Using tool 1 (on each side). do you pull down or out to split the joint. I have just put a tow-bar on my car and got held up with splitting the same joint on the rear bumper, actually fitted the tow-barr without completely remove the bumper.
The instruction I was following are here

I honestly don't have an idea, I left the car at the Citroen Service, and they butchered it as you can see ... :D ... I could ask my main mechanic how exactly the bumper comes off, I too remember some weird tool that is required to unhook/unclip something following the official procedure ... that's why I didn't want to try doing it myself this time around

While I wait for the 2nd LED headlamp to arrive, something was bothering me for the first one, and by retracing my steps (thinking back what I did and what I configured in the BSI), I finally solved a mystery that was bothering me since I had the LED headlamp installed ... the LED headlight as 2 functions, the Daylight Running Light / the Sidelight (this is of course known), and how it works is that the DRL lights on 100% of power, while the sidelight (main beam active) lights up to 50% or maybe even less than that ... I thought that the DRL doesn't glow as strongly as it should, and I've noticed it has the same glow, no matter being in the DRL or Sidelight mode (compared to the other old headlight which had for the DRL the HP24 - actually led bulb & sidelight combined, that's how I configured it, and for the sidelight just the W5W in the corner of the high beam) ... this was great to have different headlamps in the same moment on the car, because I've managed to troubleshoot what was wrong ... since the sidelight was always on, the LED DRL headlamp was always in sidelight mode, not the DRL mode ... when I turned of the option that linked the sidelights with the DRLs, voila, the LED strip almost burned my eyes out when I looked it up close ... how this looks like is as on the pictures below (note: the main beam wasn't used in the photos):

Sidelights (left side: Cree high power LED W5W | right side: genuine DRL LED)
e_IMAG03236413_zpssay1crnu.jpg
Daylight Running Lights (left side: HP24 alternative, a G4 5W white LED, supposedly 450 lm |right side: genuine DRL LED)
e_IMAG0324f1fe_zps2naqeeej.jpg
DRL (left: genuine DRL LED | right: G4 5W LED)
e_IMAG03265161_zpsvbyonphw.jpg
I think this should serve more then enough (and conclusive) proof for anyone who thinks any cheap alternatives will provide as much light as the genuine solution (and believe me, I've done my homework on that matter) .. .whether or not some solutions emerge in the near future is another matter.
