Hi I recently just filled up my additive tank and used the pats fluid from euro car parts. Was an easy process if you get the kit with filling bottle.

When filling I got a friend to help and found it easier to put a small hole in the bottom of the filling bottle to help fill the tank quicker. Put your finger over the hole while an assistant fills the bottle back up each time.

I used a whole 4.5lt bottle and filled the system up the day after the low warning message came up on the dash.

Hope this helps a little.

Just an (hopefully obvious) note, it would be worth wearing gloves and suitable protection etc as you really do not want this fluid on your skin.

Hi Wizzer, its worth checking at your local dealers as there are two types of fluid and they do not intermix. I cannot remember the change over dates but I know the earlier system was short lived, so your 02 car might be one or tuther.

If you get no joy, PM me your VIN or RP number and I'll check.

It depends on the colour of the plastic around the filler plug on the tank which should be white or green but patsfluid should cover both types.

Not sure I'd believe everything Europarts write (ask Citronut), as the two fluids have a completely different chemical make up and therefore act in a completely different way. As you stated though, the filler systems are distinct so that should highlight the correct fluid to use.

I did hear that it was possible to top up both systems with diesel, to trick the system into believing there was sufficient fluid in the reservoir. I have no knowledge whether this is correct or not, but the 'horses mouth' is a PSA employee. 8-[

I think that will only really work if you have the DPF removed and then do the vacuum hose trick (so the ECU is happy without it)

Thanks for the replies guys, any idea how long before it runs out once you get the low warning message? and if I fill up before the Eolys runs out do I have to reset anything?

You will need to reset the counter, I used a Launch diagnostic tool.

I filled my tank up the day after the warning as I did not want to risk anymore faults occurring.
