Not sure jackson but put it this way the values are on the up.. unfortunally im too late buying one and would need to pay good money for a good one.. for example that black gti turbo two with black leather air con and no sunroof with tax and test on ebay 4,450 .... thats sooooooooo tempting..

It's impossible to tell Jacksun without seeing them or at least getting some better information from the owner. The trouble with those cars are that they've been stood for so long so the words "massive" and "headache" spring to mind. Most of them appear to be injection cars too which will no doubt prove to be a pain as sitting around doesn't do them any good really. The whole task of getting them out of that barn, onto a transporter and back home could easily turn into an utter nightmare... From the face of it they don't appear to be the most attractive of specs either - if they were Prestiges/GTi Turbos then that'd be a different ball game... However saying that you might be lucky and they'd start, drive out and load onto a truck perfectly fine...!

That's very kind, Paul. Indeed that is a lovely car - the holy grail of spec too being Black with Black, AirCon (cold!) and no sunroof.

Went out to a show in it yesterday - I'd forgot how awesome the Turbos are... Left it too long as haven't been in one for a while...

You're correct about this advert being about for quite a while, at least two years. I contacted the seller last year about the cars, asking for fairly straightforward information, models, condition, mileage, etc. Luckily, I did not hold my breath waiting for a response as it was a long time coming and he seemed very reluctant in offering any real details about the cars. I am of the opinion that he is not a real seller, but might just be a dreamer or messing about.

Somebody else might have better luck.

They're worth only what the local scrappy will give him for weigh-in and that'll be the case for a very long time yet sadly...

Now if he got his arse in gear and restored them then it would be a very different matter...
