hi,
can anybody tell me what the equivalent is for diagnostics on a renault, the lexia being for citroen?? what diagnostic equipment would be needed to do similar tasks on a renault? cheers....

It is called CLIP system for Renault.

Yep, and very expensive it is too. Check out a device called "RSTuner" from Fastchip. Originally for remapping Renaultsports, I think it has been expanded upon to support a wide range of models. It does a lot of diagnostics stuff, including ABS etc. There's also an app for Android called Torque Pro which I have successfully used with my Clio using a Bluetooth ELM327 device.

I've bought a Clip clone, works fine and absolutely essential for doing your own repairs.

Not awful lot. It's made in China and works well. Used alongside Renault fault finding manuals it's as good as it gets. It shows fault codes in their genuine form and allows the coding of parts to the card. Keycards are a case on their own.

Yeah of course, the diesel needed to fetch it upped the price a little.
