Merged Lexia & Diagbox threads

Keep all this info coming guys, every little thing helps, goodness knows, Isaac has removed and reinstalled this program dozens of times, and we have tried EVERY possible permutation .
Are u guys using windows 7 ?.
we installed a dpf removal program today, and it wouldnt work at all on the W7 lappy so after about 5 goes, we put it on the old Toughbook on XP, and it worked straight away, also as said before, Diagbox did work on this laptop as well.
Its either Windows 7 thats the problem, or some aspect of the anti virus that we are missing I reckon.

For what it's worth, I've previously gone through various updates to get to 6.22, and when I went to update to 6.26 today, I got the 'product not activated' screen with no option to manually enter my actvivation details - I only got the internet update or 'close' options. I'll probably do a full reinstall but stop somewhere around 6.20 as I know that worked fine.

I updated mine each update stage in turn, then rebooted each time and checked the false/true marker then plugged in the interface at the end of each procedure, having said that the interface only updated once out of 4-5 updates. Every time I rebooted then launched Diagbox it went through a process of installing the update prior to Diagbox launching.

Yes that's exactly what I did with the DVD based updates, all of which worked fine and updated me to 6.22 - that's what I've been running since I first got it.

It's only tonight that I tried to update from 6.22 to 6.26 using the Internet update that all went pear shaped. When you did your Internet update did you update from 6.22 and what were the exact steps ? Did you reboot between downloading the update and launching Diagbox to install the update ?

Exact same thing happened to me. 6.22 was working perfectly for me...

I'm using Windows XP by the way.

I think I may get the Laptop wiped, and put XP on it , everything seems to work better on it

Something just occurred to me, did you update from 6.22 to 6.26 one update at a time ? I jumped right from 6.22 to 6.26, could that be the problem ? I just assumed that the updates were cumulative but do we need to install each individual update one at a time ?

I updated from somewhere around 6.05 to 6.22 in steps of roughly .05 at a time several weeks ago with no problem. I couldn't go straight from 6.05 to 6.22 - it wouldn't let me. I can't get to the update part of Diagbox at all now as I get the 'authentiaction' screen which I can't get past. I'm running XP on an old Dell D400 - which *has* run Diagbox fine.

You'll need to uninstall and reinstall Diagbox, I'm just doing that now. My DVD is version 6.01 and has a 6.01 to 6.19 updater then a 6.19 to 6.22 updater. I'm just reinstalling those now to have another go at the Internet update.

just updated today to 6.26 from 6.22 works fine untill i try to look for further updates then it says its not activated enter activation code then it says error code 20 reinstall diag. this was on a fresh instal of xp cant get this to work on 7 even after jim tried for about 4 hours

mandrake when youve got to 6.22 copy the bin file if it goes wrong after that you only have to reinstall that bin file to get back to 6.22

sorry that was to the wrong person. its the file that you open when your going through to change the true to false at the end of the install

Yes each and every time I updated it, I installed updates sequentially as they appeared.

I'm running Diagbox on Windows 7, no problems at all.

Re the "Authentication" screen that sometimes appears when doing a global test, keep clearing whatever version of that appears say about six times then eventually you have full access to whatever you want to look at apart from Ediag which involves connecting with the Citroen main server, hence why the Authentication screen appears.

I dont really want to go back to XP, as it seems like a backwards step, but I have no idea how to proceed any further on 7

Just reinstalled 6.22 by DVD, then 6.23 by Internet, 6.24 by Internet, both worked fine, however when I went from 6.24 to 6.26 by Internet the same problem is back. Looks like 6.26 is a no go, at least for Windows XP
