As you may know, a recent arrival, a Xantia VSX Estate, on a P plate. 1997, with Keypad immobilser and Air Con.
As a brief rundown, work to do on this is as follows, and as the car came in to me..
Rear bumper has been pushed in on the O/s Corner.. also craked on the N/s - REPLACE
Lost her Alloys, but will be sorting that out and gettin proper VSX alloys back on..
Starting issue
Low pressure LHM leak at rear
Drivers Strut top is, well see through!! Wait till I get it off the car! (Got One)
Bonnet crap, have replacment in good order
Drivers door top hinge starting to break away. Also got a door correct colour.
Rear door jambs, surface rust, need a clean down and treating.
Oil and Filter service.
Check cam belt condition and take appropiate action.
Fit set of Front Brake pads. (Got)
Lots of small things really nothing big to do!.




Other areas will have pics taken when I work on them. Things I DO know about the car. During the course of last year, rear spheres were fitted. New set of rear brake pads also fitted.
Anyway.. done two jobs today, sorted the leak, I lowered the rear subframe and the return pipe had popped off a join.. anyway, pushed that back on job done. However, found the subframe mount was a bit iffy. So I took one off the scrap car thats ready to go and to my surprise they are identical! Hatch and estate use the same mounts.
So that bit sorted, the next was starting. After removing the heaters I found two dead. So with a set of 4 working we had a nicely starting car! An XUD will go on 3, but they will never go on two.
So two jobs done, next two are Strut top and front brake pads.
