As you may have read previously, the trims on my Prestige were really crummy - all stained and pitted. They were original to the car but would have really let the car down.
Had a local engineering firm cut me some exact copies in stainless steel of exactly the right thickness and voila! Only £50 too. Considering the visibility of the trim on the car, they'll really make a difference and it was well worth fifty quid.

Re: C-Pillar Trims - Repaired!
Thanks chaps! Just got to get the rest of it put back together now. Respray done - now time to refit the doors, windows, bumpers, carpet, trim, dash etc etc.... oh GOD! Actually quite terrified. My genius welding friend is having to make new brackets for the bumpers as the originals had rusted. And I need some new gutter trim.
It's all looking pretty good though. Can't see it being a showroom car but it's completely rust free, fully waxoiled, very clean throughout and very healthy mechanically. And hopefully back on the road eleven months after finding it dying in a Devonshire barn! Feels good to have saved a really special CX. It's gonna be a beauty!
I do still want a black Series 2 GTi Auto. That remains the dream car. But this'll do for now

Sounds good James, hopefully you'll be wowing the crowds at tha CX XM and Xantia Rally in September - looking forward to seeing it.
You've probably already see them, but the only place to go for gutter trims is Citroen Classics:

They've had them re made for Saloon and Prestige and the Prestige ones are a bit of a faff to get on with a vinyl roof although they do with some encouragement.
There are a few GTi Autos in Black out there James - from memory one very nice car indeed and one that needed some TLC. One will come up... I think you'll like the Prestige though...
