Hello all!
So... because the Millennium Falcon (as it's now known locally) has been stood for five years plus, I'm thinking it might be wise to change the fluids. I'm assuming the LHM deteriorates over time?
1) Do you have any tips when it comes to changing the hydraulic fluid?
2) Should I be looking at preparing anything else ahead of recommissioning?
Your wisdom and assistance is - as always - massively appreciated! With the bodywork almost complete, it's time to sort it mechanically (although it appears to drive, steer and stop just fine, strangely!).

Also, does anyone know where I can get the metal flexi-pipe section that attaches between the front down-pipe and silencer?

The LHM won't just go off like petrol does do you should be OK
with what you have although this depends on whether you have
worked on the hydraulic circuit as that will allow contamination
in: you're best concentrating on the reservoir filters above anything
else. I guide to working on the hydraulics is in the stickies bookmarked
section on the forum.
One thing to consider - after a long lay up where the car hasn't been
run up to pressure for a while you could find a pipe burst upon it lifting
up to height which would be galling after filling up with a load of brand
new fluid! You say it drives so this may be a redundant point but has it
been up to full height/pressure and the brakes used fully as this tests the
pipe work.

Sorry about all the typos, busy eating breakfast at the same time and
predictive text has a different idea to what I want to say!! lol
Hydraflush would be the best first job on the hydraulics actually as
you will end up with a reconditioned hydraulic circuit to match the
new look bodywork! But AFTER you've initially put the system through
it's paces and determined all is well first.
