As Jim says it's a straightforward process with slight variations depending upon what particular car you're doing it on, make sure you have all the key's/remote to hand when you do the programming otherwise some of them will no longer work thereafter.paulhelliwell2 wrote:quick question how easy is to re-programe the keys so i can do the remotes?

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
You`re looking at newer models really , no actual improvement in operation of Lexia .CitroJim wrote:Even easier than RapidShare... If yo have any PC that can read the DVD then copy the contents from the DVD to a USB stick and install using that.
Birdman, what's the advantages and benefits of upgrading from V45 to V46 or V47?
I can only say for a Xantia but it's dead simple so long as you have the transponder code. The Lexia 'holds your hand' right through the processpaulhelliwell2 wrote:quick question how easy is to re-programe the keys so i can do the remotes?
thanks in advance

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
Hello paulhelliwell2,
I have a Peugeot 806 which is the same as a Citroen Synergie/fiat ulysees and the 30pin plug (not sure if its on all vehicles or they changed to 16 pin sockets etc) on ours is on the drivers side under the dash, located near to the bonnet pull lever.
Our's had a protective lid on it and upon removal of this and plugging in of the grey and brown 30 pin adapter read perfectly, on removal it broke the grey plastic release mechanism which forms the diagnostic adapter!
will post photo of connection socket if required
Let me know
Garry

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
I had the same trouble, put the Lexia disc in your drive, open my computer, right click on the dvd drive and open, right click and open Lexia, right click and open activation instructions. Then read read me and activation screenshots and the middle one( LEXIA 3 KEY) is the key gen that produces your code for the activation.
That's how I got mine going with a bit of help from members of the forum.

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
Allan,
This is quick for this evening and not 100% step by step.
Choose from the menu Activation/Decativation
Press F3 to choose off-line activation.
Enter CH001 as the RRDI Code and Validate (* button)
Read off the Number of the Computer and the Server Request Code number.
Note the software version. It should be something like Lexia-345.14
Start up the Keygen. Enter the RRDI Code, Number of the Computer and Server Request code into the keygen using LEXIA-345 as the version.
Press the Get Code button. Note the full generated code. be aware that the code is LONGER than the display window on the Keygen. It is necessary to scroll along to see the whole key.
Copy the generated key to the blank field on the Lexia Activation screen exactly, dashes and all, and validate. A message should say that activation has been successful.
If you get Error Code 11, start all over again with Activation. Only the server request code should be different.
Error code 11 will result if the key is not properly copied across or the version is wrong. If the version on the activation screen is say, for argument, Lexia-347.28 then in the keygen the version should be LEXIA-347. It's case sensitive and the dash is critical.
The process is more or less identical for Peugeot Planet except the Version is PP2000-22 or similar.
Hope that helps Allan... If not I'll do proper full detailed steps tomorrow... All the above is from recent memory.
If all else fails, I'm happy to PM you my phone number and I'll talk you through it; that offer is open to anyone having any trouble installing the software

Did it access everything else? If so try doing it again, mine did that at first (+ Jim's as well IIRC) but now communicates perfectly with the A/C ECU.allanmc wrote:so today carried the PC, Monitor, and keyboard into the garage and conected it up to the series 2 Xantia tried to access the AC ECU but as others have said it didnt work is there any way round this
Even my genuine Lexia throws the odd wobbly from time to time by not communicating with some ECU or the other, one example is that I've used it on at least six Xantia's fitted with an indexing N/S mirror but only one of them will communicate with the Lexia and continues to do so perfectly.

It should work on all of them, I've used mine on S1 + S2 Xantia's, facelift C3, C6, C3 Picasso without a problem. If you want to order one on the forum offer let me know via a pm when you definately want one and I'll find out the latest price and availability.

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
Hi Richard, thanks for the reply, yes it seemed to access everything else but I have to say at this stage my son and me are unsure how to interperate some of the things that it says but I know that all I have to do is ask more questions, but I will wait untill I get a laptop before trying again as it was a bit of a bother getting all this lot out to garage thanks again.

Re: Lexia group discount through moderator?
If you're using it on a Xantia S2 don't worry about a fault code relating to a faulty key or on Hydractive cars 'Steering Sensor' they all do that, as far as the reading of the other information only concern yourself about recorded fault codes and more especially 'Permanent Faults' should you get any of those certainly ask questions. If however you are looking to alter some settings on later cars fitted with Muiltiplex wiring it might be best to ask questions first.allanmc wrote:Hi Richard, thanks for the reply, yes it seemed to access everything else but I have to say at this stage my son and me are unsure how to interperate some of the things that it says but I know that all I have to do is ask more questions
