Clio diesel clutch

Hi, i'm considering buying a clio 1.5 dci, but when I had a test drive the other day I found that the clutch was extremely heavy for a small car, so my question is is this a common problem and can anything be done to solve it or make it lighter many thanks in advance

yes it is a common problem and it will need a clutch fitting soon or the cable will snap..

I was driving a 2002 1.2 clio the other day, the clutch was very heavy. I then got into another 2002 1.2 Clio which had the same weight clutch. I got used to it after a while but its often a sign of a worn/aged clutch.
