The missus managed to run her battery down listenign to the radio while cleaning out the car this morning and she had to jump it. Everything reset and the windows all only move up and down about an inch or two at a time . So you have to keep flickign the switches to get it all the way up or down.
I figured it was some sort of setting truggered by the loss of power and tried the fix all of holding the button for about 10 - 20 seconds and now the drivers wondow works properly. She was rushing off to get stuff for our trip so I didnt get a chance to try the others but I gave the passenger side a quick go but no luck.
Any ideas what its about? I'd imagine I'll be able to get them sorted but I'm curious to know what it's about.

One touch up/down only work on the driver's side on my Espace and Kangoo so I'd guess it's a Renault characteristic.Stekelly wrote:She was rushing off to get stuff for our trip so I didnt get a chance to try the others but I gave the passenger side a quick go but no luck
If one touch up/down worked on the passenger side previously though, I'd love to know your eventual findings...

Renault's windows have to be initialised after power failure for the anti-pinch system. With the window shut, start putting it down, releasing the button only when the window stops itself, then immediately pressing it again. Once it's the whole way down, press down once more. Then... do the same to put the window up. Once it's fully up, pull the switch up once more. They should now go up and down fully and properly!
French is best.
