Clio stereo

Just bought a 2001 Clio Alize, got a small problem with the radio cassette. The unit turns off after 20 mins even when driving, i realise it should turn off after a period of time if the ignition is off but it does it all the time. Also, it does not turn on or off when the car is started/stopped like i expected, you have to actually press the power button.
Any suggestions ??

Sounds like there's no power to the ignition feed, it's behaving like the ignition is never on. It could be as simple as a fuse.
