xantia wing difference between hatch & estate ?

Hi all
Is there a difference between an xantia mk2 estate front wing & a an hatchback ? i did nt think there was but i have been trying to buy a replacement wing & bonnet for my xantia and one of the scrap yards i spoke to says they are different ?

I checked from service pages. Front wing has same type code in MK2 Xantia estate and hatchback.

FRONT WING
7840 J6 -- LEFT
7841 L3 -- RIGHT

Ah, do not fall into the trap of the narrow and wide wings.

If your car is fitted with ML5T or AL4 gearboxes, the wings are 10mm wide, as the track of these cars are wider. Applies to the Activa, V6 and 110 HDi engined cars, in either saloon or estate format, irrespective of trim level. Anything else has narrow wings.

And Mk1 wings wont fit on a Mk2, same explanation applies to Mk1s.

Handyman you have worried me as my car would have the wider wing i think ! the scrap car is a 1999 2ltr petrol on ebay breaking which i have now bought the wing & bonnet from

ALL Mk.2 Xantias have the Wider Wings, they ARE ALL the same...

Its only Mk.1 cars that have Wide or Narrow wings...

wing is on now,for once quite an easy job ! looks so much better than the replacement wing the car had at some time !
