Quite a bit to do but its very rare and very similar in appearence to my first BX which I wish I regret part exchaning for an AX in 1997!

Well ive been a busy boy and not been on here much, the 14 St Tropez has now gone to a very good home in Chelmsford, some welding was needed for the MOT but not alot. The reason for the sale is to fund and make space for the BX Ive always wanted, which I now have.

Hello again, sorry Ive not been online, work have blocked the FCF so most of my forum time has been lost lol
Anyway they St Tropez has gone as you know and been replaced by an equally white BX, a 19TZI auto with factory aircon and lost of parking dings from the 85 year old previous owner.
So far a full service, cambelt, exhaust, and repainted bumpers and wings are done, and a new drivers door is being fitted monday as mines very bent!
Pics to follow.
Anyone got any new BX front mudflaps (yes I know haha ha)

As ever, another good article in the Citroenian Tim, the picture of your new TZi looks good, how is that coming along?
It must be a very rare find having air conditioning, if i remember rightly you also got air recirculation with that option too? Very nice, no doubt you will have it looking like new again soon.
Your GT looked great at the MPH show too, shame i didnt see you there to meet though.
Just been sorting out a load of old car brochures in the loft and came across a load of BX ones. I wouldnt mind a BX at some point, it would make a very nice second car for me. Also like looking at yours, especially your blue TRS, its just fantastic. Ive only seen that one the once though.
No mudflaps here im afraid, i do have a very good steering wheel though!
Estate rear lights too and many other BX things in the garage, but no mudflaps. I take it they must be scarce now?
Actually, ive just popped onto the bxclub site and noticed your after a steering wheel (Roverman??). Ill dig it out and see what its like.

Thanks for the compliments, the trick is to find a nice example and do the little jobs to smarten it up, TZI is doing great, and should be finished soon, new drivers door and passenger wing are on and the bumpers repainted, new lamps at the front and a full service too.Citroenmad wrote:As ever, another good article in the Citroenian Tim, the picture of your new TZi looks good, how is that coming along?

Hi Tim, The TZi sounds good, Ill look forward to the pictures!
A 14RE, thats the non power assisted one isnt it? I remember having to move one of those years ago, it was quite a heavy thing but not overly so as its fairly light. Mind i could only have been about 13! I used to park the cars which were in for a service back when my dad was a citroen specialist, so ive 'moved' many BXs but not actually driven one on the road.
Is the 14RE going to be a keeper or are you smartening it up to give it a new lease of life and selling it? Where do you keep them all?
Ive put some pictures up of the steering wheel on the BXclub site, as you will no doubt see. Im in Hartlepool but i would post it to you for £10? Its of no use to me and has been sat in the garage for years and years.
Chris.

Hello again guys, sorry i've been away so long, lots going on in my life, most of which are positive! but after meeting up with some of the chaps at the CXM it prompted me to to update my profile.
Here's a few up to date pics.
My Xantia back on the road and after a full valet

3 of my 4 BXs at the CCC National Rally 2010

My Mk1 GT complete with new old number plates and rear lamps

Ok so its not a citroen, but it was cheap and I always fancied one!

And this Ive had for along time!! I love it!

See you all at stratford?

All of your cars are so clean Tim, i don't know how you manage it.
The SD1 looks immaculate, as does the rest of your fleet.
