I have wanted to work on cars for a long time, well since i was 17 to be precise and i certainly never thought id be doing what i do today, just thought it would be in a normal everyday garage, not that there is anything wrong with that, but i find myself now in my late 30s doing an apprenticeship on my way to becoming a DS specialist.
The guy i work for has been a DS specialist for around 10yrs and certainly knows his stuff more of an engineers approach that i find extremely indepth and certainly very interesting, im even starting to teach him a few things lol.
After some persuading my boyfriend has finally managed to take some photographs of me and a few of the cars that we work on.
and id like to share them with all you others who are as crazy as i am about these cars Hope you like

My, what a big spanner you have in your hand Candy
Indeed, a real dream job.. You are very fortunate to do something you love for a living.
Most of us don't
Although, saying that, I quite enjoy what I do although I must admit I enjoy the company and camaraderie of the people I work with rather than the job itself...

oh yes definately agree, think thats why i like working on them its a challange but no end of previous work to undo and bodges to be put right, but enjoyable none the lessaddo wrote:I think starting with the difficult Citroëns is certainly a "baptism of fire" - 40 year old cars have stuff that's rusted shut, spares you can't buy, and the bad work of prior mechanics to unpick.
(Maybe it's showing that I can't motivate myself to start on the ID19 again!)
