loss of economy/ power
in the last 1000 miles or so my laguna 2 dci has become a bit of a pig to drive, has lost some of its oomph and im now strugking to get 35mpg where i was getting 50, any one have any ideas?

Without knowing these, until you get a couple more replies:
Usual checks first (clean air and fuel filters)
Condition / security of multiplugs in engine bay.
Condition / security of vacuum hoses in engine bay (look closely as they can crack / perish when they get old)
Fuel leaks (return pipes could leak slightly, causing a loss of economy) , not that likely though but worth looking around anyway.
Do you have an engine management light on ?
If it has a mass air flow sensor (typically fitted in the air pipe near the air filter housing) this would be my first thought as the symptoms you describe do sound a bit like that has failed (although I'd expect your engine management light on in that case)
Next thought is your EGR valve stuck open, although again I'd expect your management light on.

EGRs are a common problem on the 1.9 DCi, make sure its cleaned. If im not mistaken a defective EGR valve on those can can lead to turbo problems.
