25 V6 Turbo

Hi just joined,and thought i would say hello and say i own a 1989 Renault 25 V6 Turbo,this is a car thats a bit thin on the ground now as i believe theres only about 5-10 still existing in the U.K
If anyone has any info on any surviviors roadworthy or not can they let me know as i,ve built up a bit of a list of known examples,my own car is in stunning condition,has had a pampered life,i know the full history since day one,and its even been on display in our showroom for a month as a static display,still has its original NEC carphone installed,i also collect all 25 Turbo brochures/presspacks etc, i know very anorak,but someone has to love the 25s??
I do work for Renault aswell(20 years)so hopefully i can help on some of the other threads.

I couldn't agree with you more! The 25 is the "Other" fantastic french car Id LOVE to have!.

Ive reasonable experiance with the PRV V6, bit in N/a guise, in 12v and 24v, in the XM.

I have always loved the 25, when I was a teen, just passed my test my wanted car was a 25 2.2 GTX... came close aswell, to getting one. I think the later 2.0 Multivalve engines are quite something, with a decent amount of power. I love, and stilll do love the Speech system. Wish the XM had it really.

Its a shame the auto box's are as weak as paper, like the XM's and sent most of them to rest..

fantastic, I have good memories of 25's my dad had a few 2.0 ones, black with the most comfortable black leather full electric armchairs I've ever sat in, and the first car that spoke to me.

A v6 turbo is something special, can we have pics or vid?

If anyone ever sees a 25 Turbo roadworthy or not can they try and get the reg and colour as i,am still adding to my survival list of these cars,seems to have turned into a bit of an mission...
that brochure is really nice,lovely pics in there..
I have the full electric leather seats in mine,and the rare ergomatic front seat option which had inflattable pockets in the seats,great fun!!

Ah yes the 25!

I came within an ace of buying one once but when I went to pick it up with the cash in my sweaty little palm the dealer said there was a problem with the auto box. He said he was getting it fixed but after a fortnight I gave up hope and bought a Rover 800! Doh!
