I'm teasing you all on this, just for fun seeing as you've put so much effort into making your ebay look good. :P Anyone guesses?

I know what you think is missing Mike but bear in mind that Vince's VSX is an early one so won't ever have had those bits....

A quick update......with renewed vigour :)

The remaining "jobs to do" list is getting smaller....lets hope it continues to head in that direction [-o<

Things left to do:
- Dashbulbs - change duff ones
- Rear ABS sensor Drivers side
- Side rubbing strips - remove and fit new clips (i bought some off ebay and have now lost them)
- New mirror cover caps (The search is on)
- Heater - stop it blowing warm all the time (this is the most annoying fault of all)
- Rear suspension "niggle" -

The greatest thing about the above list is that i reckon i can complete the lot myself, apart from the last suspension related item. Jim has a similar issue on his so i am waiting to see what comes from his investigation before i think about mine

Tonight i realised that i need a garage and a 4 post ramp  Santa...please....ive been good :P

Hi Vince
If you are looking at the clips for the plastic mouldings that sit halfway down the doors the cheapest place to get them is actually the stealers

One I suspect was intentionally removed but the other,
I suspect, would cause an emissions failure in the US.

But that sure is one shiney engine bay 8)
I'm intrigued Mike, you never gave an answer to the riddle!

Filter housing leak off pipe from the hand bleed tap?
LHM Total sticker?
Sealing strip on the offside of the wiper scuttle?

Is there a plaque on some Xantia headlight panels?

You've got a nice looking car there Vince!

Vince when can you come and do my engine bay like that :D

I've got a complete set of rear arms you can have, make changing the ABS sensor easier for you and have hubs with them :-)

Well...a small update.....

Some of you may have read that my Xantia is having an off day or three... Well this is what has happened so far...

Since buying the car i have always taken care to not drive it hard...and especially to take it easy before it gets up to temperature. I have loved it and cared for it well, hopefully which can be seen in the condition the car is kept in 7 days a week week after week regardless of the mileage i am covering.

Irrespective of this, with 125K on the clock the head gasket has given up the ghost

Apart from the cost involved, this doesnt bother me that much as on any vehicle this can and does happen.....What is important though is that a good job is done on the repair.

For that fact it now resides in a Citroen speciliast garage who is carrying out the following work. Some as it is required, some because i want it doing whilst its in.

- Replace head gasket
- Refit rocker gasket
- Cam seal
- Crank seal
- Timing belt
- Water pump
- Glow plugs
- Crank breather hose

It should be ready for Thursday next week..... :)

Anyone fancy picking up the bill

See you back on the highways soon

I'm in doncaster Vince.

Gotta stop by GSF Donny at some point to get some anti freeze so could always leave them with them to get dispatched over to your branch??

Thanks KP but you would need to ask them if they could get them to the Bradford branch via their regular van "meets" alongside parts. I can then pick them up from there.

The company cannot incurr any expenses shipping them to me as they are "personal" goods

The trafford branch sounds great. I used to run that place and drive past it every day on my way to and from work

If you can get them there then they can ring me when they land, i can either pick them up myself or have them shipped to Liverpool on one of my vans :)

There are a lot of new staff at Doncaster now and they wont know me. The main person who did was the branch manager Steve. Last i heard though he was thinking of leaving? ...perhaps he did?
