door wont open
hi there i have a 51 plate megane and the rear door wont open i can hear the lock working when i press the fob but it is jammed shut cant open it from inside or outside has anyone ever come across this before and have u any idea how i will get it open

I had a problem like this with another car, and to rectify it had to climb in the back of the vehicle, and remove the interior trim.
With the trim off I was able to access the lock barrel, and central locking servo, and the rest of the operating mechanism.
Pulling on the operating rod released the catch mechanism, so I could open the tailgate.
Now with proper access compared to the point when the tailgate was jammed shut, and I had to lay on the floor. It was now much easier to strip the whole mechanism apart completely, lubricating it and making sure it would not happen again.
