I would like to add my condolences to those of everyone else - I didn't know Alan except through frenchcarforum and aussiefrogs, but he was always helpful as both a site admin and a participant of the forums, and a lover of Citroens.

I had a lot of good discussions and even a few lively "debates" with him particularly on aussiefrogs and as I had no idea of his health problems I was quite shocked by the news that he had passed away while I've been away overseas (without internet access) for 3 weeks.

My best wishes to his family and friends.

I too would like to send my condoleances to Alans family, he was a nice bloke and he will be missed by many many of us in the UK, both for his knowledge of Citroens, his good humour, and the Ausie extreme weather reports he used to post!

I hope someone will put his cat out for him.....

Shocking news. I was just looking out for his latest stuff when I came across this thread. There goes another fine contributor to the cause whilst the world will not be better without him. Sincere condolences to Alan's family!

I only just saw the thread. People like Alan S were the heart and soul of this forum

He gave me lots of great advice.

Sadly missed.

On that note I rarely see a post by Anders these days...is he OK?
