intermittent starter

My starter motor has become a bit temperamental.
Is it possible to fit a replacement without too much hassle?

I don`t know what car you have but normally replacing the starter motor is a straight forward job disconnect the battery remove the main feed cable from the starter motor take off the spade connector from the solenoid then the two nuts holding on the starter motor itself .
