Engine light 207 2011

Post by SamQ »

Hi. So the engine light has come back on. The lambda sensor has been changed twice (still within waranty time frame) exhaust box has been changed, catalytic converter has been checked, no issues there. ECU has been checked no issues there. "Engine fault repair needed" flashes on the dash. The car loses slight power sometimes & sometimes for a split second when i turn the car on the steering wheel is stiff. O2 sensor has been changed to.

Any help? Known issues. My mechanic is not a specialist in electrics & advices it is an electrical issue somewhere.

207, 2011, 1.4 petrol, manual. VF3**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]

Has your mechanic read the fault codes from the ECU? We really need those before we can make any guesses.

Hi. He did.

I cant remember what they were. Its driving fine again but its going to come back on. The last code was something to do with emissions, thats why we checked the cat. & its not the petrol i put in shell, twice i have put in costco.

Make sure you get the code next time it's on - ultimately all the codes are emissions related, but it could be pointing to an impending mechanical problem in the engine.
