Obtaining analog video from Continental NAC - decoding LVDS

Unread post by lexagb »

Hello.
I am interested in obtaining video feed from 4(5) pin FAKRA connector between head unit (Continental NAC) and head display and decoding it to analog (composite).

As far as I understand the harness is is 2-way gigabit LVDS. The decoding chip used by the display unit is Maxim MAX9260GCB/V.

Aftermarket video feeder/inserter interfaces use RTD2662 for encoding, but I need a backwards operation (decoding).

Anyone interested in doing the same? Maybe someone is working in this field, understands what I mean and would like to discuss the details?

Hi. Intersting topic, but do you mean the second LVDS output for the CMB (CIROCCO)? Because the other one is used for the main screen. If so, isn't it only for navigation?
I am actually trying to figure if I can send video/aps from my Android unit to the CMB, so it is the same protocol I am interested in.
