Not that it's on your route, and not that you'd have time for it anyway, and it won't reopen until Easter next year, but ignoring all that lot - there's the Internal fire Museum of Power (i.e. stonking big smelly engines ) over at Tanygroes, Ceredigion.

There's also the Evo Triangle you could do.... though possibly at 20mph to keep the 'greenies' happy

Re: Mick's Motoring Wales Wander
I see you have Llandrindod Wells on your route.
I’m fairly confident you could get a favourable reception at Riversimple, based there, if you had the nerve to arrange a visit and probably you would both find it interesting..
Here is the website and I have both a thread about them, and have given them an airing on the hydrogen thread from time to time.

That's good to know Forrester, our dinner there last year was also excellent!! Two more maps arrived today so just one more needed to complete the set!!
I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

The missing piece of the jigsaw has arrived, so now I can get started on the route planning next week!! Once I get the route on paper I'll start looking into the suggestions for visits above, thanks for those

If you get a chance, you might want to visit Pendine. It does not look like much (especially at this time of the year), but it was where speed records were set before people started using Bonneville Salt Flats. We used to holiday there over 30 years ago.

That won't be on this trip James, the route is Mid Wales and North Wales this time. South Wales will be another trip in the future.

Yuu may be right Steve, I have quite an affinity for lampposts too...
If I was, I'll have been a Springer Spaniel.... Those and I have a lot in common. Both mental, full of energy but not the brightest... That's me in a nutshell
And like a good Springer, I enjoy every moment of my insanity
