Infotainment system

Post by Lisawatt1976 »

Hi, I have a ds3 crossback 19 plate, a kind gentleman recently helped me jump start the car after my dashcam draining the battery, since doing this the infotainment system doesn't work, which in turn means my parking sensors, heating and all other things controlled by it won't work, also USB port doesn't work, can someone help me with this? Fuse box I can't find a proper diagram for, or what fuse is located where, checked the ones I can see and they seem fine. Anybody know how to fix this?

You have to be careful jump starting a car since it can damage the electrics with a voltage spike and the kind gentleman may not have done you any favours, it might have been better to use the AA or other breakdown service.
You could try a bsi reset which might help.

Then you really need to get it to your nearest dealer to be honest as there's no telling what damage has been done or whether a certain fuse has blown. If he shorted the battery he could of fried some electronics along the way or blown a fuse that you can't see (there are plenty in the engine bay and supplies management) that you won't easily be able to access and check.

Wee update, just incase anyone has same problem, removed head unit and there was a 20 amp fuse at the back of it, changed fuse and now everything works fine..
