Is this the original unit or have you replaced it with a second hand unit from another vehicle? If so, what system did you originally have (VIN would be preferable), as if the unit is not identical there are multiple options that have to be set before you can even start to configure the unit.

vin is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
car has replacement dash (sat nav), from an 07 reg c5. It came with RT4 head unit and all the cabling - it all is hooked up, it all works just the beeping!
I used a pin out for the rd3 to rt3 quadlock (do you have the pin out for the navidrive quadlock?)

This is for a 2005 RT3, with Colour Screen, but of course the aerials won't be the same as the original ones you had for the RD4 the car came with, (GPS / GSM etc.)

That will need VIN coding to stop the beeping. You’ll need to locate the RT3 / RT4 ECU and then enter the configuration menu to code it in at the relevant section.

You need to be very careful what you change there as there's no undo!
Don't change anything unless you are 100% sure you know what you're doing as some options (and the way they are written) do not mean what you think they do!
The best thing you can do is to Screen shot me the relative pages of the configuration that you have changed so I can check if you have it set correctly for RT4 (and the VIN of the relevant vehicle).

Marc - still fighting with this; will it be changes to the hdd software , or bsi or engine ecu that knocked the screen out?
If the above - would a blind update of the software from scratch (2 white buttons) help?
If not, would a bsi update to `as built` (excuse the Ford terms), then update it again fix it?

I can't see all the data on your first picture - half the screen is missing on the left. Please upload the pictures directly to the Forum (use the Full Editor & Post button, then select the Attachments tab at the bottom to browse, upload and place your images.
Also, what other options have you got when selecting the screen - it currently shows Standard DeV - what are the available options as there are 2 types of display for telematic units. You poreviously only had RD4 display, so have you got the correct wiring cables for the RT4?
