Does anyone want to play a "guess the wheel" from the back round on these two? :-D
306 Rallye and 406 coupe?
Yes and yes,

5 spoke Cyclone alloys as fitted to GTI-6 / Rallye (and also to my HDi dturbo

6 spoke 406 coupe alloys that never had an official name but tend to be known as "starfish" alloys

they just look like they should be there and that is it in a nutshell. If it looks right, it is right.

mickthemaverick wrote: 10 Nov 2022, 19:23 Do you mean to say that you don't have all the wheels off and clean them every Sunday morning Matt? Used to be our neighbour's religious act of the week on his A40 Farina!! :-D
A customer of mine had an automatic Austin Cambridge and he used to crank the engine over with the starting handle every Saturday to push oil through the engine if he had not driven the car during the week. His car was immaculate including the wheel arches and the underneath. One of my jobs was to clean the areas he couldn't reach and touch in the rust proofer as required. Eventually, he had me do the inside of the wheels (and spare) as, at 80 years old, he found it "difficult" some days!

And on a 50s/60s Austin... I'd guess and A30/A35...

EDIT: Just seen in another thread, an A55 pick-up... Very nice :D

No problem Matt thanks for commenting...

If the 4 wheels different colours with an unpainted bit comes into car design in the future, you saw it here first!
