I wandered past a Jet station yesterday and saw there were washing machines there.
There is a very busy laundry/laundrette a few hundred yards up the same road.
I was quite baffled, didn't realise that there were still laundrettes.

On my flick through the new listings for 2021 from Historic England came across this rather nice Motor House from the 1920's from Boulton and Hall of Norwich.

I like garages being described as "Motor Houses" :-D
Boulton and Paul Ltd ‘Wood & Iron Motor Car House No B204’. Guildford.

Interesting firm Boulton and Hall, made metal aircraft too, as well as pre-fab garages :-D

The comforting glow of petrol station marketing as dusk falls. EV charging points need to take a leaf from the retail petrol sales business, make them stick out as beacons in the in the landscape. We used the garage because it has an EV charging point but its tucked away in the far corner of the parking round the back. No one heading down/up the Ai would realise its there. No signage. Of course your electric car these days knows where charging stations are, and most EV drivers will have zap map on their phones.

It could well have been a tragic event, but thankfully wasn't.

One to look out for as you drive through Cambridgeshire, or is it the Historic County of Huntingdonshire?
