do you need to have something fancy to attend, or can I just roll up and park somewhere that's not a prime location in my 405? Only an hour or so from me.

ANY car goes......it has always surprised me how wide the spread is. There is loads of parking around the buildings so if you feel you would rather park a standard car away from the "front of house" cars there is plenty of room.
The parking is self policing I think, if the car is interesting for whatever reason, then park out front.
I would put my C5x7 round the back and leave others the more viewed lines. The ACTIVA goes out front as it has some interesting design aspects for people to see/discuss.

It is a great morning for all car nuts.

Excellent! Now I don't work Mondays, that week I could go see dad on Sunday...

I shall do my best to make it a date... Two Activas there... That'll be good...

You're safe as long as you do not indulge in activities more in keeping with geriatrics...

I understand their favourite technique is to spike your suppertime Horlicks and to sabotage your Zimmer frame.

It was patently obvious at the DS Rally the advancing age of the club.... It needs some fresh young blood very badly,..

I won't be renewing my membership this year.

It's their choice, I'm ready to rejoin when they appeal to me. Thats 70 years away in the current market unfortunately.

I'd love to make one of your breakfast meets. Don't think it'll be very soon but it's on my mind for the future. The Haynes museum looks like a good day out anyway.

You do have to ask just what you gain from membership......at the moment it beats me.

I would advise that you do David.....it is/should be a good club even if it (IMHO) needs a bit of a change of direction....

It is not that expensive and I would encourage you to join (and Jim to re-new)

I suppose I should really and judge for myself. If everyone leaves and no one new joins the club dies instead of having a chance of improving.

Funny, when I was critical last year (my first as a member), everyone seemed to leap to their defence.

Finally persuaded that I should give the club another chance - but still struggling to do so, because they make it so difficult. Having found my membership card, so I can quote the number, & a copy of the mag. (which I'm not getting 'cos my sub's overdue, so I was informed by e-mail!) so how much to write the cheque for, s'pose I'll have to sit down & draft a covering letter.
