Matthewsons next auction coming up on Saturday june 1st.

I've been watching the catalogue fill up, and must admit this no reserve item put a smile on my face.

Now I have grown to very much like my lastest bargain basement car so far, my Nissan Micra K12. Didn't expect one coming up at a classic auction though! Thing is although its a nicely presented car, it has to be pretty much in the category of no-one will want it. If I could get it for the bargain basement price of my last one I'd have it in a flash.

That unremoved tow-eye's a little off-putting.

Not where you open it - like a tin of sardines/corned beef/whatever?

Matthewsons Auction today. Picked out three lots for a bit of telephone bidding but demand was too strong, and my personal judgement of what the lots were worth to me, was exceeded in all three cases with strong bidding from the hall. Empty handed again, but an interesting learning experience for another time, Have to say Matthewsons were excellent, courteous and friendly as they come across on their bangers and cash tv series.

Well worth a watch...there are links in the On TV thread.

Certainly an iconic machine definitely a decent investment at that sort of gude price.

Brigitte has appeared several times on her solex in the FCF archives. Apologies if anyone is growing tired of it by now!

So is this Citroen XM going to achieve its guide price of £2,400 to £2,800?

Low mileage, nice clean interior, well presented, not that many left.....(odd registration-only one UK MOT on DVLA record for TXI 3273)

One that was left over from Mathewsons Auction and couldn't find a buyer at the guide price of £3,750 to £4,750.

The leftovers "remain available" to negotiation usually to a week or so before the next auction.

1984 Bentley Mulsanne Cat C loss in 1999 but passed all its MOT's since and is quite presentable. Tax for the 6.7L non-turbo Beast because of the age not as steep as you might expect £265 if I pressed the right buttons.

A Humber Hawk or Super Snipe I think, I had them back in the day but saw a couple in a local car show a little while back and I still think they are nice, especially the interiors.

Not that one Neil, the later one. I might fancy a project but don't have the necessary energy or motivation to do one. :?
