The Moteur flottant was not a Citroen innovation, no those big brash Americans of Chrysler came up with it but in the 1930's Citroen leased the tech it for their front-wheel drive car range from 1932 ish on.

Yes nothing more complicated than rubber engine mounts rather than bolting the engine direct to the chassis. continues to this day of course across the entire auto industry.

Forgive the cryptic answer Matt. Its not an MGB but it is an MGB :-D

No one will crack the code of the cryptic answer neither Alan Turing, or even an English rugby international with middle name Sean.

There, nothing given away so others can enjoy the puzzle. I had never heard, or seen the mystery car either Matt. :-D

On the other hand they might!! :-D

The link to AT suggested an inexplicable word which when combined with something more familiar with 3.0 litres gave me the answer, which I had never heard of either :-D

Oh, am glad to see I've got you with this one!
I'll not give the game away, but a few points:

Jim: agree the colour is lovely, that deep rich blue metallic. Think the same shade the MG ZS, ZR, ZT could be had in.

Mick: 3.0 = not as far as my research suggests! Smaller 1.6/1.8/2.0 or a big jump then larger 4.0 options. Think this is one of the smaller ones.

General appearance: I think I like elements of it - surprisingly the Micra tail lights look like they belong, MINI headlamps sit ok to (i.e. not like that cross eyed Morgan with it's Beetle headlights) wheels too big, sidewalls too low profile for my tastes. Front grille is a bit odd, almost like they were going to fit an Austin Healey 3000 grille then decided to change it after the mouldings were already done!

My reference to 3.0 was merely to point towards 'Healey' which you have just disclosed Matt. The other part of its name came from the first part of my post concerning Neil's AT reference. Still trying not to give the game away!! :-D
