Its just about surviving but the bench next to it was more comfortable for the flask to be brought out, and had an unrestricted view over this, Tyne Valley looking down on Corbridge.

Yesterday I watched Villages by the sea very interesting series, which covered Alnmouth in Northumberland.

Inspired me to go and see the village from a viewpoint I have never visited before. The south side of the current course of the river up by the cross on the hill. A large area of low lying marsh and channels makes a direct route to the hill impossible so big detour round the edge of it behind the dunes is necessary.

Why? Its different every time...today yes on eclipse day elsewhere, the sun was a thing of beauty in the sky and "under the water" caught my eye and clicked my shutter...

This appeared on "The Restoration Workshop" on UKTV Play (link) , a decent watch in itself. Looks an interesting place to visit and plenty photo opportunities. Personally I would gravitate towards the scrap collection of helicopters for my shutter clicks

Here's one exhibit which caught my eye for its unusuality

Liteco/Intora Atlas Firebird Details: These helicopter projects stem from 1950's technology around the use of hydrogen peroxide H2O2 fuelled rocket engines, installed at the tips of the rotor blades to drive the rotor system, using super-heated steam.

Drurridge Bay, first time at the top end-Hadston Scars.

Never visit a nice place to stop off at with your eyes metaphorically closed.

How many walkers, runners, players on the sand, the dunes, and at the waters edge notice these little joyful birds running towards and away from the waves as they gently lap the shore.

One of the most joyful sites on planet earth....The Sanderlings.
