I did a fortnight territorial army at the back of Morecambe Bay, at a place called Cark and Cartmell don't recall seeing a lighthouse the place was reputed to be land reclaimed from the sea.

Here's a short video of the other lighthouse featured in Neil's video above. This is the Beachy Head lighthouse a short distance away. Complete with Vulcan for scale I was there for one of its lighthouse flypasts. Never to be forgotten

Last thing I heard, there was a very slight chance it might fly again, but only for a very short ferry flight as they need to vacate Doncaster due to the imminent demise of the site there. I'd imagine it'll be in the hands of the CAA or whoever grants permissions for such ferry flights.

Having spent most of the day at Benenden Hospital by the time we were on the way home we were very peckish and couldn't survive until we got home. So we pulled off the M25 at J26 to visit a pub i knew of but haven't visited for 30+ years.
The Woodbine Inn on the road into Epping Forest from J26 turned out to be a brilliant find. On walking into the bar I was greeted by this terrific array of real ales :

What a choice!!

Having chosen the only one I didn't know, Captain Bob, after a quick tasting and of course a certain amount of personal loyalty, I turned to the Menu board while SWMBO chose her drink:

Having found no actual food on there we looked at the proper menu and both selected the Pork and Apple Sauce Baguette, granary for her and white for me, and chips.

The food was so good looking, with proper home cut and cooked chips, when it arrived I tucked straight in before remembering to capture its glory:

It was every bit as delicious as it looked!!

Having finished our meal and my Captain Bob, I know someone who I'll have to take there for that, I had a quick look round the dining areas and the bar which was very traditional and welcoming:

I was very impressed with the range of hot beverages available for those who prefer them:

We then settled up and left with a very happy feeling in both our minds and our Tums!! So if you find yourself feeling peckish while driving round the M25, drop off at J26 follow the sign to Epping and the pub is 400 metres or so up on the left. Give it a go, you won't be disappointed!!

Backs onto "The Town Moor" behind it host of many a cross-country race and the annual "hoppings". A place where the freemen of the city can graze their cattle but none ever do!
