Given my engine's sensitivity to oil hygene, I note my service counter is set at 12,000miles and therefore pretty much redundant as it's serviced well within that mileage.

However, I came across what I believe is a configurable setting for this in Lexia, though it was set to 19,200km (11930.327miles). Would there be any harm in changing this to say 10,000miles (16093km) or even 5000miles (8046km) as a safety net?

Whereabouts did you find that setting?, mine is set to 20,000 miles!, I'd much prefer a 10,000 setting myself :)

If it is anything like mine it can be set on the dash during the reset countdown phase - mine is set to 6000 miles but will be done before it gets anywhere near that.

Search me! Think it was one of the many, many BSI sub-menu's. I'll make a note exactly where.... if there's a next time I come across it. :?

I didn't know that! The handbook just says you can reset it to "0" and that a dealer can change/reduce it if used under harsh conditions.

Your newer on may be different but on mine the reset button counts down to a reset level of zero which equates to 12,500 miles.
I stop it at "1" which is 6,000 miles.

I'll try that next time, Steve. If it works, I'll see if I can find that lexia page and see if it's recaclulated it to km's.

I posted this response on the RD4 thread by mistake!

Anyway, there is the servicing schedule plan that is usually set up in the customer options.

I was under the impression that if you didn't allow the countdown to go all the way to zero (and then a few seconds more) then the reset didn't happen at all. Maybe it's different of a few models?

Couldn't say but I presumed there was an option to stop it for different environments.
Works on mine anyway.

Lexia 3 discs corrupted

Post by Eddie Nuff »

I tried to install Lexia onto a laptop for my brother but some of the files were missing. My son-in-law works in IT so he checked the disc over and found that these files had just disappeared. Don't ask why, he doesn't understand neither as the last time they were used was to install onto my laptop.

So can anyone make me a copy of the discs? A suitable donation to your favourite charity would be only right and proper.

Finally got around to trying this, it didn't work, any other ideas?

I also have a requirement for a copy of Lexia 3.

I wish to instal it on a Netbook but have found the original disc to be physically cracked.

Anyone able to do a copy?

Hi There folks, does anyone know if the usb connector on a Lexia is something that can be bought separately? Mine is damaged so I was looking for a replacement. There are VGA to USB leads that look the same , but I don't know if the wiring would be the same.
Thanks.
