Re: Eolys?
playtequ has contacted me to reset the Eolys counter. Can you give me a walkthrough how to do this in Diagbox please? I've not had need to do this on my car yet.

Re: Eolys?
Hi Paul - I can't personally I'm afraid - as my diagnostic laptop is in diagnostic laptop hell on account of a failed Diagbox installation after I uninstalled it in error in (readiness for selling it on). So I am in the process of reinstalling the OS and the A/C man is re-gassing the other car at present.
If the additive has already been filled up and the car has been running, then I expect the priming of the fuel system part of the operation can be bypassed.
The operation should be found by undertaking a Global Test
When complete - scroll to the top of the ECU list and locate the engine Injection ECU (this should read as a Delphi 3.* system).
Select that and confirm
From there you should see various menus - one of which will be REPAIR or similar, or actually list the additive operations - but you may have to have a hunt about in one of the menus.
It should be obvious when you see it - but the process is guided once you do.
Just reset it to zero and follow instructions.
Sorry that's not much of a help, but as you probably know I don't have my X7 any longer so couldn't guide you though it if I had Diagbox up and running.

Re: Eolys?
Hi guys
I would very much appreciate if you could look up the correct DPF regen fluid for my car, and if possible also the capacity of the tank. The FAP-software states the capacity as 1380 ml, which seems low, or does the car take one of the colostomy-bag-type refills?
My VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Thanks very much for your help.

Re: Eolys?
You need Eolys 'Extend' fluid. It is a tank not a bag system.
Quantity is generally 3 litres on the X7, but depends on how much fluid is remaining as it is only estimated - not actual as there is no physical measuring of the additive.
So if topping up only, you may want to get a few 1 litre refills so you don't waste it as this fluid cannot be kept after opening.

Re: Eolys?
Ok, thank you very much Marc!
The FAP-app threw me with its capacity number. Estimated remaining is shown at 411ml. I have a Lexia clone, but just keep a cheap bt dongle + phone app in the car
I'll get a refill kit. The one at the local auto parts store seems to be with 3 X 1 litre bottles. Some off brand replacement, but claims to be specifically and only for PSA.

Re: Eolys?
Be careful. You can’t mix certain types of additive. You need the ‘Extend’ variant for your build date. There are lots of additives that PSA have used, but these are system-specific.

Re: Eolys?
Hey all!
New member here so apologies if I'm not doing this correctly. I have a Citroen DS5 that's looking for some additive. 2013 model. I'm not sure what additive I need as the manual doesn't tell me anything useful. I couldn't even find where to top it up!!
Anyway my VIN is VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Re: Eolys?
I would say it should be eolys Powerflex at this age.
The eolys fluid is not really designed to be topped up by the user, It is done from underneath the car & requires a reset with diagnostic equipment.

Re: Eolys?
Hi I've recently bough a second hand C4 GP 2014 vin no VF7**************[VIN obfuscated, can be read by forum staff]
My mechanic replaced no 2 injector , replaced the oil and filter , front and back brake pads and topped up the Eolys system by disconnecting a pipe and filling it in situ.(and so hasn't inferred with the electrical connections to the tank/pump) He uses a Launch diagnostic tool which is up to date . There is an error code P1434 and so he suspects the pump may need to be replaced , is the pump available seperately or does it need a complete dosing tank ? Many Thanks in advance

Re: Eolys?
@: sorcerer: Your vehicle is overdue an after-sales campaign for some remedial work. i suggest you contact Citroen ASAP to get it booked in. I can't tell you what it is for, but with this engine (DV6C) it could be injection related, so don't hang about - but will be free of charge.
The pump is not available separately - it is all incorporated into the additive tank.
As for your fault P1434: A fault has been detected with the multiplexed pump for at least 10 seconds. Add at least 10 litres of fuel and drive the vehicle when hot for at least 5 minutes. If this does not clear the fault then further investigation is needed.

Re: Eolys?
Its a complete tank I'm afraid & its not cheap £171 + VAT.
P.S. your car also has an outstanding recall campaign, Best to call your dealer.

Re: Eolys?
I ran the car on a motorway having filled the tank, for about 20 mins at a constant 90km/hr , the error is still coming on shortly after I start the car , and it jumps from A1 to M1 , so it looks like it's the pump /tank unfortunately . I dropped into the nearest Citroen main dealer , they said they couldn't check on the recall but they'd call me back later ....I'm still waiting

Re: Eolys?
Just quote your VIN and tell them you have been advised there is a campaign outstanding. They should be well aware of the procedure / process.
