Restored GS..... sort of!

Just thought I'd share pics of the results of a "small scale" restoration project.... 1:43 to be exact!







This was put together using two scrap Solido GS's bought from ebay a while back and put together as a GSX, complete with Jaune Helianthe body colour. My Dad's first GS in 1977 was a GSX exactly like this.... HLV 133P..... I didn't replicate the rust though....

Just hope that I can post pics of completed GSA X1 in 1:1 scale before next summer.........

Well done but it appears that the paint finish is suffering from 'Orange peel'

Hmmmm.... photos aren't that kind are they? They're much bigger than the real thing though and it looks OK in the flesh. Was done with an aerosol so a bit difficult to control at a small scale.... oh no, I'm blaming my tools..... bad workman etc.....

What! No before pictures?

I came across a fantastic 1:43 model of a GS estate in orange with matching orange interior. It was a really good model and have seen a real GS just like it, not often you get orange with an orange interior.

I have just bought a really nice Norev Renault 4 Fourgonnette in 1:18 this morning, not seen that one before. My collection is growing fast

Next project (at this scale....) is a plastic Norev Ami 8 which is missing a wheel (doesn't stand on 3 wheels like a GS would ) and headlight......
