They're quite significant Mick and Win11 is, in my opinion, a vast improvement over 10 in a number of ways... One significant one is much better integration of OneDrive. It's much more a native part of the OS now rather than appearing to be something tagged on to it.

You won't find me going back to Win 10 now and the only place I still have it running offline is on my Diagbox machine...

Which reminds me, I must fire it up for its regular health check...

I don't use OneDrive, or any other form of cloud storage so I wouldn't notice that!! I have a grandfather father son system in 72 hour rotation and it serves me well!! :-D

I use two Mick, OneDrive and Google... I work on the basis that if one goes wonky the other one will be OK...

And Flickr for my photos with the really precious ones also on Google ;)

With my security background Jim, I just see that as two more places that hackers can get at your data, and worse, the security of that data is not in your hands. Not for me!! :-D

Any hackers would be very disappointed if they got hold of my data Mick ;) It might well put them to sleep they'd yawn so much

To be honest, if I lost everything I have in cloud storage it would be of little consequence. There's nothing important up there. Mostly ephemeral.

There's nothing I have on-line or in cloud storage I'd not be happy to share with the world... I've just looked at it and most if it is car stuff, radio and electronics service data, parkrun stuff, a bit of useful and arcane IT-related documentation and several years of Citroenian column drafts... Already I see your eyes glazing over and eyelids getting heavy

I'm so public-facing most of it can be found on the 'net anyway!

And, absolutely nothing that would assist in identity theft, compromise of bank accounts or password harvesting.

The really important stuff, and in my life there's not much of that either, is on old-fashioned traditional paper and lives in a safe...

I can appreciate that Jim but the actual data is not my concern. I have been indoctrinated with the 'need to know' principle all my working life and so that alone guides my actions. Thus the clouds have no need of my data so they will not get it from me!! :-D
