Now thats been done I cannot tell who made a post when I look on my phone, even the username is gone.
I was using the phone to browse but not to post, now browsing is pointless.

I think that I partly understand this problem now. I have applied a patch which seems to give "correct" if not "desired" behaviour.

I only understood about 50% of what you said but whatever it is you did, I'm glad you've still got the willpower to do it Thank you. I would insert the 'applause' smiley here, but it appears not to be working

Same here running, Android / Chrome on a newish Samsung phone.

Thats the same exact set up as me, whats the chances it's just a Samsung thing.

It's the same with Samsung's built in t'internet browser, and it's the same both portrait and landscape.

Oops... sorry about that. I have reverted the change, as it obviously has an unintended side-effect.

Yep, normal service has been resumed on my Samsung / Android / Chrome

Well it was worth a try but is much better now we can see who made a post.

Back to normal on mine too.

Just to note that I didn't get a chance to see if that made any difference, before the change was reverted (didn't visit the forum in the intervening time).

I have applied a different patch, which should not have the side-effects, and which seems to fix desktop mode on phone browsers

[edit] So it should now work with all mobile browsers (that support the feature) that you can get the site looking like the desktop version by selecting "desktop mode". You may need to refresh the page.
