Balamory if you have grand children
In my spoiler I mentioned that I had stayed near Tenby for a holiday in 1972/1973 ish. Well with the magic of a whole load of information on the internet I can comfirm it was 1973. One of the things my Dad always used to wangle into a holiday was a bit of first class cricket. Back in the 1970's the John Player Sunday League 40 Over matches on a Sunday were on and on that holiday we drove to Swansea to go to the Glamorgan v Kent John Player League Match. I remember it was not much of a contest as Kent bowled out Glamorgan for under 100, and Brian Luckhurst in particular made short work of knocking off the runs.Dormouse wrote: 08 Oct 2021, 14:29 I had no idea about the St Mary's church but I Wikied Ragnar and also got the gist of Ragnarok on there as well. I did a search for churches with Norse/viking connections and then trawled a very large number of churches until I came across one in Visit Cumbria - bingo.
In years gone by it would have been Encyclopedia Brittanica, a darkened room and a doctor's line to find these answers.
